Grateful ER Patient Shares Her Story
4/3/2024
Leslie Jefferson didn’t expect her evening out to dinner would actually be an evening at the ER. But she’s still grateful.
The Mississippi Gulf Coast resident tripped and took a hard fall, which left her bleeding and in pain. “But from the moment I arrived at the emergency room, I felt a sense of relief,” she said. “There was almost no wait in the lobby, and the response was prompt. Everyone I encountered -- from front desk staff and nurses to the doctor and the X-ray tech -- was incredibly kind and attentive.
"The staff at Merit Health Biloxi took exceptional care of me. They communicated effectively, keeping me informed about what was happening and providing clear instructions. They were very thorough!"
Leslie's experience highlights the dedication and compassion demonstrated by the staff at Merit Health Biloxi. In times of crisis, their commitment to providing exceptional care shines through, leaving a lasting impact on patients like Leslie.
Frank Duke, RN, emergency department director, says Leslie’s experience is the standard the team strives to achieve with each patient.
